Mr and . Mrs Pope left by. yesterday’s express , for Christchurch and Wellingtpp. . A quiet but pretty wedding took plaice at the Holy .Church, Gireymouth yesterday morning, the contracting parties being Robert James, tlijrd son of Mr and Mrs MclOlintoch, of New Brighton, .Christchurch, and Violet, third daughter of Mr and Mrs Mayne, of Ngahere. Rev. Archdea-con Jerrnyn officiated. : The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, wearing a gown of ivory georgette with othodox veil and orange blossoms arranged coronet style. The bridal bouquet was of spring flowers and maidenhair fern. She was attended by her sister, Fernanda, wearing shell pink georgette, with (spring hat to match, and carrying a bouquet 'of 'spring flowers, The bridegroom was supported by Mr IP. Bellamy of Christchurch, ah' best man. After the ceremony numerous relatives were entertained by the bride’s parents ait Harker’e Tea Rooms and later the happy ' 'couj?le left by the express for a tour of the North Island, the bride travelling in a brown tailored costume, with hat and shoes to tone, and wearing a fox ■fur. - . -. ■' " '' ■'
