MOTOR, CYCLIST’S DEATH. FOLLOWS COLLISION. (By Telegraph—Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, August 10. Percival Charles Mooar, aged 18, years, who resided in Addington, died in the hospital this morning from injuries received when a motor cycle he was riding collided with a car on the Main South Road yesterday. MAORI DROWNED. WHAKATANE, August 10 A native, William Simon,, aged 27 years, was drowned yesterday at Whakatane Heads. His dinghy, being overloaded witli mussels capsized, and be sank almost immediately, being unable to swim. His two companions swam to the shore in an exhausted condition. The body has not yet been recovered.
