BOROTRA TO RETIRE . NOTED FRENCH TENNIS PLAYER. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright ) LONDON, August 7. The “Daily News-Chronicle” says that it is probable that Jean Borotra, the French tennis player, will retire from France’s Davis Cup team in 1931, and it will be arranged for Rene Lacoste to play in the singles. Interviewed, Borotra said: “lam too old. My shoulder can no longer stand the strain.”
