PLANE’S PETROL EXPLODES

SYDNEY, August 8
A ’Moth aeroplane crashed and fell over .one thousand feet at Brighton-Le-Sands. The Pilot, J. Armstrong, a.ged twenty-eight, was killed. The spectators are of the opinion that the petrol tank of the plane exploded in mid-aid, as Armstrong’s body fell a considerable distance from the machine, and it was horribly mangled and burned. The tank was found close to the h.ody.
