“A march'carried out by German marines in the British mandated territory of Tanganyika, - and a speech made by the German Consul at Tanga, may lead the British to make a request "for the withdrawal of the Consul And for an apology from the Captain of the German cruiser “Karlsruhe,” says the “Daily Mail,” which gives prominence to what are termed a remarkable series of incidents during the first visit of a, German cruiser since the war to the territory, that formerly was German East Africa. The cruiser “Karlsruhe’s” stay at Tanga was marked by a gala dinner. The German community held it in the principal hotel, where Herr Speiser, the. Consul, in. a speech, dilated on the historical glqries of the-.
