The police of the British ports have been informed by the New York authorities that hundreds of unemployed and destitute Britishers are hiding there, waiting for a chance to stow away on homecoming liners. Some of Britain’s best workers, attracted by the high wages, are now in dire straits in America.

The King’s racing cutter, Britannia with His Majesty on board, won her 200th race at Cowes this afternoon • in fine style by 3or 4 lengths. There was an enthusiastic demonstration when, after the race, the King arrived at the Royal yacht squadron enclosure.

He added more young people are taking Christianity seriously. throughout the world than ever in history.
