MY TO-DAY. The struggle of to-day is not altogether for to-morrow; it is for n : vast future also. Every day is a gift 1 receive from heaven; let me enjoy to-day that which it bestows upon me. It belongs not more to the young than to me; and to-morrow belongs to no one. To-day is given us by Him to whom belongs days—we have the power to use it as we please ; we are responsible for its proper use • how important that we do the proper work of to-dav in the sphere of to-day. —A Lincoln. * * * * The gem too poor to polish In itsell We grind to brighten others. —T, AI. Hailey. FIDELITY. What a man is in one department of life he is pretty sure to be in another. Commend me to the man who sticks to his father’s oid watch, and to his mother’s old armchair.
