AN INQUEST
(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 2. An open verdict was returned by coroner Mosley S.M., at an inquest held at ltangiora yesterday into the .loath of Samuel Hamilton Wilson, whose remains were found in the debt's of his house at Sefton, burned down on July 30th. Constable Smith said he went to the iscdne of the fire and searched amongst the debris. Under three sheets of iron he 'found Wilson’s •barred remains. '“After removing the remains he made further search and recovered a carving knife. The coroner said he should not bring in a verdiqt on rumour,- but only on the evidence before him. Even if it had been found that the knife was covered with human blood, it would not throw much light on the matter. There is no evidence to show how Wilson came by his death, but his charred remains were found in the debris of! his house which was burned down. i
