EFFECT ON TARIFF
(Received this day at 11 a.m.) LONDON,. July 30. Keen interest is taken in the Canadian elections in view of the effect on the British tariff controversy. The “Morning Post” says the result may come as a blow to Lord Beaverbrook. since it enforces the warning that Empire Free Trade is unlikely to be acceptable to Canada. The “Times” says it is impossible yet to say to what extent the tariff, controversy will be affected by the result of the elections,
