AUCKLAND, July 28. The proposed merger with tlie Auckland Trotting Club was approved at a /.special meeting of the Otahuhu Trotting Club. The president, Mr H. R. Mackenzie, presided over an attendance of between 50 and 60 members. ■Mr Mackenzie said the club had a long history, and one of which they were justly proud. He had been president'.for over 21 years, and while personally he did not like to see it lose • its,'identity, yet, under the terms of the agreement, it would hot do so, for members of the committee would have seitei ion ’ the committee of the reconstituted club.
