AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. AUCKLAND, July 29. • The Auckland provincial amateur boxing championships concluded last night. Resuilts of finals are: — FlyAveiglit:—F. Bruno (7.6) beat 0. Grimmers (7.55). Bantam: —McLaughlin (7.12)) beat A. Porteous (8.0)). / Feather:—R. Purdie (8.11)), knocked out W. Hogg (8.84). Light:—R. B. Martin (9.13), beat F. Lindsay (9.13-4). Welter:—D. Cleverley (9.134), beat C. McKnight (10.5). Middle:—H. Neale (11.4) beat G. Taylor (11.14). Light heavy:—R. P. Cowan (11.12) knocked out 'J. H. Shadbolt (11.9). HeaA’y :—P. McCarthey (12.8) beat C. Painter (12.9). A special medal was aAvarded to W. Hogg for his showing in both welter and middle AA-eights classes. P. McCarthey (heavy), was the only champion able to retain liis title.
