PRINCE OF WALES
. FORCED TO ABANDON A FLIGHT. LONDON, July 26. The Prince of Wales left to-day to fly to Carnarvon to open the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show. Visibility and other conditions were so bad that a landing was made at Birmingham, about half-way. After waiting two hours for conditions to clear, the Prince, on the insistent' advice of the Air Ministry, abandoned his hopes of proceeding further and returned to Hendon. The Prince has never bad to postpone or abandan an air journey before this week. TRUSTEESHIP OFFERED. LONDON, July 26. The Prince of Wales has accepted the invitation of the Lords of the Treasury to become, one of the trustees of the National Gallery, in sucession to Sir Herbert Cook, whose term has expired.
