ELECTRIC TRAIN SMASH. SYDNEY, July 28. Twelve persons were injured when an electric train crashed into a platform at central railway station. Many others received minor bruises and cuts. Most of the passengers were standing ready to alight when the train struck the Avail. A failure of the brakes and slippery rails is blamed. Beyond broken windows, the train was not damaged. IMPERIAL CONFERENCE, SYDNEY, July 28. The Federal Minister of Customs, M r Fenton, stated the Prime Minister will be accompanied by the Minister of Markets, and the AttorneyGeneral to the Imperial Conference at London.
