CALL FOR HELP
STEAMER DISABLED. (Australian Press Association) (Received this dav at 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 28. The Dutch steamer Sumatra, a single screw vessel trading between Holland and Java, is disabled through engine trouble, and driving before a gale off Java coast. A long series of “5.0.5.” calls were picked up by Sydney. The steamer has sixty hands aboard.
