Messrs W. Jeffries and Co; are ad- -A vised from Dunedin that the. first'safe T*"' of the season was held on Friday last, when under 8090 skins, were offered. The quality of the skirts on catalogue were not on the whole equal to previous offerings. A few super skins and No. 1 grades made fair prices, but below last year. :v;N | There was a - marked decline . all round of from 3s to 4s per skin.
