The “Daily Telegraph’s” aviation correspondent .states that the Prince of Wales has taken a noteworthy step in his career as an airman. He recently made flights unaccompanied by a pilot or any other person. His solo flights were made at the North Olt Aerodrome, aboard the “Tomtit” a twoseater, which he entered for the King’s Cup, when it was flown by SquadronLeader Don. The Prince’s flights were of short duration, and lie did not go far from the aerodrome, but his takeoff and landings were most successful.
