The whole of the village people of Meopham are engaged in a search for jewellery belonging to the late Lady Ednam and Mrs Loeffler, two of the victims of Monday’s air crash in Kent These jewels were not thought of until a few gems were discovered in tin vicinity of the wreckage, and well handed over to the village constable. It was then ascertained that Lady Ednam and with her a pearl necklace and a diamond clip brooch, the greater part of which is still missing. Mrs Loeffler is believed to have been wearing a family heirloom, the value of which it is difficult to assess, in form of a pearl necklace with a diamond clasp, A few of her pearls and some of her diamonds were picked up.
