SEARCH FOR JEWELS, [United Press Association.—By Electrit Telegraph.—Copyright.] LONDON, July 25. The whole of the village people of Meopham are engaged in a search for jewellery belonging to the late Lady Ednam and Mrs Loeffler, two of the victims of Monday’s air crash in Kent These jewels were not thought of until a few gems were discovered in tin vicinity of the wreckage, and well handed over to the village constable. It was then ascertained that Lady Ednam and with her a pearl necklace and a diamond clip brooch, the greater part of which is still missing. Mrs Loeffler is believed to have been wearing a family heirloom, the value of which it is difficult to assess, in form of a pearl necklace with a diamond clasp, A few of her pearls and some of her diamonds were picked up. The remainder may be trodden into the ground. The Daily Express says: Experts express the opinion that the value ol the lost jewellery is possibly sixty-five thousand sterling. THE PILOT’S OBSEQUIES. LONDON, July 24. The body of pilot Henderson, of the ill-fated plane that crashed in Kent, was cremated at Golder’s Green, after which his widow and Ids mother ente.'»!c! the Imperial Airways aeroplane and scattered his ashes over the Croydon Aerodrome.
