SERGEANT BONISCH. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 24. Although Senior-Sergeant Bonisch, of Wellington, has been duly reinstated, the Minister of Justice, Hon. This, it is understood, will take the form of the loss of & certain amount of seniority. The Sergeant’s actual rank, however, win not be affected by this penalty. DEATH IN CELL. CHRISTCHURCH, July 24. A man believed to be William Kruse or Cruise, a labourer was arrested yesterday for drunkenness and died during the night in a police cell at New Brighton. JUDGE’S COMMENT. Judge Frazer said the question was whether sample work might be considered shop assistant’s work or office work, so the Court has solemnly to decide whether a girl who chops up a few samples is to get 50 per cent, more than 52s Gd. “Oh, well, I had better not say too much,” concluded the Judge. “Wh will consider the question and give a decision in writing.”
