NATIONALIST REVOLT
NORTH CHINA PESSIMISTIC. (United Press Association—By Klectrir ;vj- Telegraph-T-Copyright). DIKING, July 10. North China’s keen dissatisfaction with the fruits of the Nationalist revolution is voiced by the influential newspaper “Ta Kung Pao” in an outspoken article in connection with the anniversary of the launching of the so-called anti-north expedition from Canton in 1920. The enthusiasm with which t l, people greeted revolutionary armies in the early days of the expedition has completely vanished, says the paper until to-day no amount of propaganda can convince the people of the sincerity of the ruling class. The paper-says it considers that the spirit qf pessimism and disillusionment now prevailing is even more deplorable than the material losses the people have suffered in the past four years. •
