MAGISTRATE’S COURT
GREYMOUTH, July 21. At the Magistrate’s Court yesterday before Mr Meld rum. S.M. John Morressey, licensee of the Railway Hotel, charged with exposing liquor for sale, and selling liquor after hours on July 5. was convicted and fined £5. with 10s costs, and his son was fined £l, with 19s costs. Three informations were laid against William Carroll, bushman, of Bell Hill: (1). That he 1 procured a fireman without a permit; (2) that he .was in possession of an unregistered firearm ; (31 that, on or about June 14, he killed a Native pigeon. • The S.M. fined Carroll £1 with 12s costs, and also odrered him to pay the £3 10s expenses. William Alexander Kennedy was fined ss, with 12s costs, on a charge of delivering a firearm without a permit.
