At the Bisley rifle meeting the Mackintosh Cup scores were: Canada 1076, Rhodesia 1025, Scotland 1021, 'England 1020, India 1019, Ireland 1018. Miss Marjorie Foster, of the Women’s' Legion, made history at Bisley, she being the only woman to secure a place in the second stage of the King’s Prize. She also tied with six men for the Bronze Cross given for the highest scor© in ' the first stag© for the St. Georges Vase. She is only beaten by one point by a Canadian. Miss Foster also made a brilliant shoot' for the Prince of Wales prize, in which she scored 66 out of 70. Miss Foster is a. chicken farmer. She rushed back to feed her chickens at intervals during the shoots at Bisley.
