BE OF GOOD CHEER.
THE LINK INVISIBLE. When Love’s pure flames is kindled in the heart, And soul with soul close knit in sacred ties; Though continents or oceans wide apart, The lives thus bound hold joy which never dies ; , For Time still brings glad hours of commune sweet, Distant is naught while heart with heart can meet.
E’o when a dear one passes out of sight. Obedient to the Father's loving voice— From earth’s dim shadows to the fuller Light— Its first grief spent, the soul may yet rejoice; Solaced: in finding ne’er can deatli divide, Since Love grows stronger on the other side. As yearning for the spirit held so dear, The soul on wings of faith doth heavenward soar, With quicken’d sense it feels that God is near.
