The anmiat| Conference of Power secretaries ameffexecutive officers opened to-day by Mr Nash M.P., president of the Boards’ and Authorities’ Association, Mr George Brown (Wairaiapa) dealt with Power Board travelling and with mistaken criticism of it and also with the place of power in the life of the community. They could, he said, look forward to the future with confidence. Mr Rodgers, chairman of the Southland Board, in an address, thought they would agree with, him that the. best interests of the Dominion would be served if a Government Electrical Authority controlled the whole of the power generation in the Dominion nnd the Power Boards wore the, sole (listributing authorities.
