STABLE FIRE
SIX HORSES DESTROYED.

INVERCARGILL, July 14
Six farm horses were burnt to death when a fire broke out in stables on the property of Mr E. A. Clement, at Conical Hills. ,Jt is understood that a lighted lantern was left hanging in toe stables, and this must have ex-\ nioded, or in some other manner set
fire to the rouf. The building was soon a raging inferno, and, in addition to the houses, the stables, some harness and a quantity of chaff were totally destroyed.
