THE RUSH FOR SEATS

AUCKLAND, July 14

The extraordinary position regarding hooking seats, for the third test continues. To-day despite an, advertisement in the morning paper that no seats would be sold until after to-day,, a queue of people stood firm at the booking office at nine this morning. The official in charge of the booking arrived, and informed the crowd that there were no seats left, and it was no use their waiting. He declined to issue chits for seats in the temporary stand which the Rugby Union is erecting. The doors of , the booking office were closed but at noon the queue still remained.

Intense indignation is exressed by •'uemployed returned soldiers, 34 of whom joined the queue at 8.30 Sunday morning, only to find no tickets were to be sold.
