FORM NEW ASSOCIATION

A conference of country newspaper proprietors, convened by the Country .Press Co-operative Company,, was held to-day, and was attended by representatives of the majority of the country newspapers in the North Island.
After a lengthy discussion it was unanimously decided to form an Association to replace the present organisation of the group. A committee was set up who will appoint delegates to attend a further conference at Wellington at an early date.
