SPIRITUALISTS
A BIG MOVEMENT.
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright }
(Received this day at 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 11
Six thousand spiritualists will attend a memorial service on Sunday. An empty chair will be placed on the platform for Sir Arthur, while Lady Doyle will sit on the left of the empty chair a position she always occupied at her husband’s meetings. At her special request Mrs Estelle Roberts, a. olairvoyante, will also be present, though it is regarded as problematical whether Sir Arthur .Conan Dovlc will yet be able to demonstrate sufficiently for a medium to describe him.
Lady Doyle states she looks upon it as the last public demonstration she will attend with her husband. Only the^clairvoyante will know whether Doyle’s spirit is really in the chair, but the meeting is v regarded as the biggest attempt at clairvoyance ever made, outrivalling the last monster service at Queen’s . fdalL wheU: Mrs Roberts ; described; and' named twenty spirits which were present.’ • - : :
