A CLOSE DIVISION.

LONDON, July 10
In the House of Commons, attention was directed to the figures of last night’s division on the amendment to the Finance Bill, which was moved by Doctor Leslie Bur,gin (Liberal); and supported by the Conservatives. iqr the permitting of the exemption from income tax of any money spent on plant or machinery. It was pointed out that the division figures wore erroneous, the Government’s majority having been two, and not three, as before stated. The Speaker undertook to have the official records corrected.
PEAK OF UNEMPLOYMENT.
LONDON, July 10
In the House of Commons, Rt. Hon. Miss Margaret Bondfield (Minister of Labour) in answer to a question, said that the highest, point of unemployment was that in June, 1921. when there were 2,580,429 out of work.

In the House of Commons, Mr Ramsay MacDonald announced that Mr Baldwin’s Empire Trade censure, motion would be discussed on July 16th.
