'U'X '(Royal Commission to investigate the. feasibility of cheaper cable rates across the Pacific was promised by Premier McKenzie King in an election, address here. He said radio ' telephony would also be studied. This, in conjunction with * cheaper communication, wais made necessary by 'the greater trade of Canada across • the Pacific. Negotiations for a greater Australian trade agreement would be launched.
