Arrangements for the Poultry Show in the Drill Hall are now completed, pnd fo-n;cricw afkwncon, whom the Show is opened at 2 o’clock there will l>e a. fine array of the feathered fancy. The entries come from all parts of the district, the outside birds arriving by to-night’s train. The Show wiM be open to-morrow afternoon and evening, and also on Saturday all day. In common with other things, honey production suffered a severe set-back in Canterbury as the result of the erratic weather conditions that ruled during the summer (says the Christchurch Sun).
