OPENED BY THE KING.

“Amid scenes of great splendour the Ki.ng-Einperor, formally opened India House to-day. Magnificent uniforms and dresses were worn by Indian Princes and Princesses and other distinguished visitors who attended the function.
The Prime Minister and several Cabinet Ministers were present, also Lord Chelmsford and the Marquess of Reading, two former Viceroys and Sir John Simon.
In an impressive passage in the King’s speech,-His Majesty said;— “The position of India House among those of the’sister nations here m the centre of niv capital, further symbolizes the unity ; bf a greater Commonwealth of which she is part. For the greater realisatiori of that two fold unity, 1 mosir/'earnestly pray.”
