case Curious breach of promise heard in London recently. Came out in evidence that the lady objected to her intended smoking and said he must choose between her and his pipe. T-Ie chose the pipe! Whereupon she sued him for breach, and claimed a thousand pounds damages. The judge when summing up said lie believed with 11. L. Stevenson that no woman should marry a non-smoker. erdict for plaintiff—damages one farthing! The lady will be wiser next time! Smoking’s all right. It’s the tobacco that’s so often all wrong. Too much nicotine to be healthy in those imported brands. It’s a slow poison, but a sure one. Go for the toasted New Zealand—the toasting, gets rid of practically all the nicotine, so that von may smoko all day and every day and keep as right as rain.
