EMBANKMENT SUBSIDES
RESULT OF EARTHQUAKE

DELHI, June 4
Twenty miles of railway embankment subsided and serious damage wn ;S done to bridges on the Bonagglocars railways during the earthquake. The railways service was suspended in the main parts of eastern India. Further tremors were experienced at Gauliati, where nearly every building was damaged.
At Ranapur in North Bengal many persons were seriously injured.
