HARIHARI GUN CLUB
(From a Correspondent.)
The Harihari Gun Club held their annual Club Championship last week and were favoured with a good attendance, considering the fact that a football match, Watnroa v. Harihari was held the same afternoon. 'The Club are to be congratulated on their innovation of (providing a junior championship. This was for shooters who were' shooting off the ten, eleven and twelve yard marks and gave younger members and less experienced shooters a competition amongst themselves, whilst not debarring them from entering the Club Championship, should they desire. 'The Clu'b Championship was shot from the eighteen yard mark while the J union Championship was shot from eleven yards. The light was poor and aft'eoed considerably the chances of putting up big scores more especially in the Club Championship. In the Junior Championship, a nine bird match, for a gold medal, Messrs A, J. Searle, T. Adamson, C. Searle and R. Adamson tied, all four securing eight breaks. The shoot off was won by R. Adamson who- was making his first appearance at trap shooting and was warmly congratulated on his win. The Club Championship, a fifteen bird match, also for a gold medal, was won by J. Searle, who secured twelve breaks. This shooter also won the C.A.C. Trophy which was competed for a fortnight previously and was also warmly congratulated on his win,
