During-,Sir Joseph..Ward’s.:,term of office as Prime Minister, his, son Air Vincent Ward, was his personal Secretary, and being, so closely in touch with Cabinet affairs, lie became an officer of leading importance when Sir Joseph Ward’s illness interfered with his attendance at Parliament House and was on the salaried staff of : the Premier’s Department, and gave his whole time to the work. N o\v AllWard has forwarded his resignation to Mr Forbes, but lie' will continue as Official Secretary to his father in an honorary capacity-.
