TRICK FLIGHTS,

NEW YORK, July 3
Gaudy planes flew from Detroit to undertake the strangest endurance flight in the history of aviation. They wiil start at the same time and besides refuelling will have the crews renewed regularly. Refuelling piques will fly above letting the- fuel down and then fly below, fresh pilots climbing up rope ladders. The pilots relieved will drop in parachutes. Each plane i. s to have radio.

Wynce Eyton, the airman, discusssing a flight which he hopes to make to England, starting on July }(Hh p stated “T iim absolutely confident of success, and have not the slightest misgivings that ,barring accidents, I will land at Stage Lane, London, in twenty hours. [ will carry 120 gallons of petrol, the weight being 20001bs at the start. TV nlane is capable of doing 3500 miles Its average cruising speed is 100 miles an hour.”
