WELLINGTON, July 4
The Union Company is having a new. steamer built for the Wellingwin-Lyt-telton run, of 6000 tons nominal. It will he larger than the Waliine or Maori, and-.much in advance of.them in many respects. The passenger accommodation will be 1,050 iii two classes. A large number of single and two-berth cabins will be a feature. The new vessel will he fitted with steam turbines driving electric generators supplying current to motors directly coupled to the propellor shafts.
