Twenty-one new radium needles, each valued at more than £J7 ( were received on Friday by the radiologist Dr P. Clennel Fenwick) on bc.lia'f of the radium department of the Christchurch Hospital. The, needles, each M which contains one. milligram of the radium (dement, surrounded, by, platinum, have been given to the hospital "iider the Travis bequest. Packed inside a leaden pipe within a st'olttj wooden box, the needles were op-ned by D. Fenwick and carduly cbeked. They come .from Golens, Belgium, arid have been tested by M.me. Curie at, Abe Radium Laboratory of Brussels, Micluding the the total rf th° was £3 . It was fully insured. "The new needles are made to l)r Fenwick’s own do ign.
