(By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, July 3. The Legislative Council met yesterday. The Ad cl ress-i n-Reply motion was moved by Hon. Buddo and seconded i.v Hon. Trevithick. The debate was continued by Hon. .•inclair and then adjourned on the motion of Sir J, Allen. The Council adjourned at 3.40 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. to-day. THE HOUSE. ‘ lii; the House of Representatives yesterday the following 'Bills were introduced and read a first time: — Census Postponement Bill (Hon. Perrelle). Apprentices Amendment Rill (Hon. Smith). Scaffolding and Excavation Amendment Bill (Hon. Smith). Nurses and Midwives Registration Amendment Bill (Hon. ‘Stallwcrthv). Workers Annual Leave' Bill (Mr Sullivan). Bank of New Zealand Amendment Bill (Mr Langsitone). 'ln the evening Mr Clinkard moved 'the Address-in-Reply 'motion) which was seconded by Mr Hawke. Hon. J. G. Coates moved the adjournment of the debate and the House then rose at 8.35 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. to-day.
