Bodkin (Central Otago), will be nominated by the Prime Minister as Chairman of Committees to’succeed the Hon S. G. Smith, who filled the position until his recent elevation to Cabinet rank. Air Bodkin’s selection was endorsed ai tlie Caucus of the United Party yesterday afternoon. NEAY UNITED AYHII’S. AYELLINGTON. June 26. Tlie Caucus of the United Party lias appointed its AAJiips to succeed the Hon A. J. Alurdoeh (now a member of the Ministry) and ATr G. C. Black (M.P for Afotueka), who resigned when Sir Joseph AYn.rcl relinquished the office of Prime Minister. Air G. C. Munns (Roskill) has been elected as Senior AA’hip, and Air E. F. Healy (AAXiirau) as Junior AAdiip.
