N.Z. GUILD CONFERENCE.

WELLINGTON, June- 26

The eleventh annual conference of the New Zealand Bank Officers’ Guild was held this week. The proceedings of the conference were opened by the Mayor, Mr G. A. Troup, in a congratulatory and i n for in at i vie speech. Mr R. A. Dixon (president) was in the chair, and there were presenteighteen delegates from various parts or the Dominion.

The annual report stated that the membership was 2,685, and was steadily increasing. The statement of accounts showed that the •'accumulated funds amounted to £22o].

The following officers were elected: President Mr R. A. Dixon (Wellington) ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs T. H. M. Stewart (Auckland), J. Thorp (Wellington), W. W. Wriglitson (Christchurch), and W. G. Hulston (Dunedin) ; Executive Committee, Messrs C. J. Hawkins, A. R. Frethey, H. J. Edwards, E. C. Fuseli, E. S. Afatthewson, R. T. Thompson, C. F. Lonev, E. C. Little, and J. Stenhouse, all of Wellington; auditor, Air S. T. A. Scott. At the conclusion of the conference", : following the usual custom, the delegates waited on the heads ofi;their, respective institutions and discussed with them matters of commoti interest arising out of the deliberations of the conference.
