At the Hospital Board, reference was made to the fact that hospital expenses were often included in compensation awards for accidents, but were never paid over to the Board, as the law stated the full amount must be banded to the plaintiff in the ease, and the Board could only sue him for its share, generally to find the money had all gone In this wav last month the Board 'nst E 73, and will lose more this month.
It was suggested that clauses be inserted in the Washing-Up Bill empowering that the Registrar erf the Court may band over to the Boards all amounts awarded by the Court as hospital expenses. A return furnished to the Board showed 75 per cent’ of the accident cases admitted were caused by motor vehicles.
