(By Telegraph--Press Association). WKLLIXCTOX. June dd. Co-operation between the United I and Reform Parties in sclenting candidates to content the Parliamentary elect ions was advocated at a cummitlee meeting to-day ol the New Zealand Political Association. A relerenre was made to the. lit'd.S general election, and it was stated that, owing to the llei'orm and United Parties each nominating a candidate, at least half a dozen seats were secured by Labour. After a dismission the following resolution was unanimously
adopted: ‘•That, in view of futile j contests in a number of constituencies at the last general election, and at the receipt, Mutt bye-election, when seats were secured by Labour candidates owing to triangular contests, this Association urges that the two anti-Labour parties co-ordinate in the J selection ol candidates for such seats, where it appears essential, and thus avoid a repetition of the result of the previous elections." A copy ol the resolution is to lie sent to the Prime Minister and to the Leader ol the Reform Party.
