The slaughtermen’s strike has been declared off. The men are agreeing to resume work on the 18 hour week. . The Union was unable to induce tlie employees in tlie retail trade to join in the strike. It was also apparent that the employers had made adequate arrangements to keep the metropolitan area fully supplied with fresh meat.
