So pleased are the British Columbia lumbermen with Australia’s grant of an extension of her preference on sawn timber that a resolution of appreciation is likely to he proposed when the British Columbia Legislature Member who now is a Dominion House of Commons candidate, stated that it was very encouraging to see Australia following Canada in extending Empire preference. The placing of Canadian cedar on the same basis as California, redwood was especially welcome, but an extension of the preteren.e on cedar was also hoped for.
