SIMON REPORT
FORECAST OF PROPOSALS

LONDON, June 20
Recommendations of a far-reaching affair after are anticipated in the Simon Commission second report, which is being published on June 24th. These, according to the “Daily Mail,” will include the separation of Burma from India, with a new system of government from Burma.
It will also suggest a new Provincial Government for tne North-West Fronties Province, which is at present governed by a Commissioner under the Government of India. » It will also advocate closer cooperation between the Indian Princes and the Government, and will make suggestions enabling the Prince's to become a part—should they so desire—of an All-Indian Federation. The “Daily Mail” adds: The Commissioners will also emphasise the vital necessity for the retention of British troops in India for the defence of frontiers and for the maintenance of internal order.
