An amending tariff schedule was tabled in the House by Mr Ford (Acting Minister for Customs). The schedule, which embodies the April alterations, imposed increased duties on 114 items and reduces the duties on eight. The most important affected by the increased rates are timber, machinery and motor car chassis.

SYDNEY, June 20
The party of New Zealand fanners have arrived. They will be given a civic reception to-day. They spend the next few days sight-seeing locally and depart for Queensland on Monday.
