DEPUTATION ; i;p : PREMIER. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 20. A deputation, from the. ‘Farmers Union' Conference waited on Hon.. G. Forbtes placing before him the decisions of the Conference'on Questions of unemployment;' arbitration/*court, derating and 'taxation*, ji. • The deputation asked that farmers be derated for .payment- for roads; that they pay income tax instead of Hand tax; and that then-Arbitration Court Act be amended;-to provide for voluntary arbitration... • . The Premier said;, that the matters would receive the consideration of the Government, although the question of shifting the burclen of. taxation was •one which would,, haye t'o, be gone Into fully before anything could be done in a.tiipe ,lifes the. present.
