There was a big blaze at 8.30 o’clock to-night, Morris Ledstrom Ltd. packing department sheds being burnt out. Good work of. the police and others made a good save of the adjacent-main stre, over . which- .was -the manager’s residence. The new .manager, the exdeportee , Smyth arrived on . Saturdaylast, taking- over ;from the retiring manager, Johnston. The damage is unascertain able. .Little, was saved.
