ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. - CHRISTCHURCH, June 18. There was a satisfactory sale, on the whole, at Addington to-day There was a larger yarding of beef the quality being good, and there wds a isound sale at late rates. There was a small yarding of store sheep, the quality being mixed, hut chiefly they were nondescript lots. Ewe lambs were firmer, and wethers sold at late rates. There was a draggning sale for adult store sheep. There was a large yarding of mutton, but sales were irregular at a lower basis. Best wpthers sold to 30s (id, good from 275, medium 23s to 20s, light from 18s. Best heavy ewes sold to 27s 4d, prime 20s to 23s fid, medium lfis to 19s, light and inferior from 10s fid. ojhere was a. small entry of fat lambs ol mixed lots. As it is neaiing the end of the season the demand was firm for all.classes. Prime lambs sold up to 28s lOd, medium 22s to 25s fid, light from 18s. There was a good yarding of fat pigs, The market was firm for both bacon and pork at late rates. Good norkors sold 40s'to 455, heavy £2 lfis fid to £3 8s fid ; average price 8d to ci. per lb. Heavy baconers sold from £4 7s fid to •05 Is fid, medium ;£3 10s to Cl 55,, the average being 7d to 7-J-d per lb. Choppers sold from C 4 10s. Vealers soM irregularly with odd good sales. Store cattle were easier.
